This
Vinho Verde has been a long time favorite and the new vintage is
awesome. Think a spring breeze blowing through a flowering orchard of
stone fruit and lime blossoms.
80% Loureiro and 20% Trajadura, this wine is fresh, crisp, lively with a touch of spritz. With low alcohol, it is best as an aperitif or with seafood. Definitely a summer drink.

Wow. I think I really like Vinho Verde on warm sunny days. This is a new find for me this semester; I didn't know what a Vinho Verde was. It was a greener colored white wine, and had that fresh grassy smell on the nose I've come to expect. Maybe some limes and a mineral taste. It smelled like you picked fresh grass on a hot day, and then poured some lemon juice on top. I really enjoyed this wine by itself. It does have a bit of bubbles to it, which I think again makes it so good when its cold on a summer day. I don't think I had it chilled enough the first time I had it. I stuck it back in the fridge before my second glass, and it was much better.
