Shop/wine critic/winery review:
88 points - Stephen Tanzer 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Light, lurid pink.  Tangerine, raspberry and white pepper on the fragrant nose.  Juicy and focused in the mouth, offering zesty red berry flavors with a refreshingly bitter edge.  Closes clean and tight, with lingering spiciness and a touch of orange zest.
Your Review:
I can't even pretend to sound fancy or educated, but I disagree with this rating.  It's probably due to my aversion for roses in general, but no.  If you are taking all the time to grow Cabernet Sauvignon, then give me the grape skins and let me have the great flavors and tannins of the grape.  Ok, rant over.  It was a nice pink/orange color.  Did note some strawberry actually, and then something sharp at the end; not as much a pepper, but something herbal maybe.  It had a "zesty" flavor to it;  you weren't tasting orange/other fruits, but the skin and rind of them.  All in all, it was important to try a French Rose compared to New World ones that I have tried, but meh.  Pass.
