Shop/wine critic/winery review:
Our Get Bent Mountain IPA is a light bodied, west coast-styled IPA with a delightful bready character balanced by lots of citrusy hops. We expect it to be around 7.2 % ABV.

Your Review:
So I know this is not wine, but we are allowed a few beer tasting notes. Unfortunately I had a lot of traveling this week, and found myself in a Richmond restaurant for lunch on Thursday. I had a nice conversation with the bartender who informed me that their beer selection was vastly superior to their wine choices. She recommended the Get Bent as they had just started the keg. I took her advice and hope it does not throw off my blog too much. One initial note was the citrus aroma. It was a nice lighter color, and smell, which was delightfully deceiving. American IPA, I was expecting some more hops to the taste, but it had a very well rounded flavor. The end tasted almost "bready" to me; that yeast flavor you get with fresh baked bread. It was very good. She brought out some sweet potato fries that suited it quite nicely. All in all, not a bad afternoon. Even if I was initially just going to have a glass of wine.
(Unfortunately I did not take a picture of my pint, so here is the stock photo from Parkway)
